SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS AT THE ROYAL WELSH COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND DRAMA
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is the National Conservatoire of Wales and offers specialist tuition in music and drama to around 800 undergraduate and postgraduate students each year.
A distinctive hallmark of the training the College offers is its focus on preparing students for the profession and tuition is delivered in an environment that mirrors that of the arts industry. Its alumni work at the highest professional level in music, opera, theatre, film and television across the world.
“Financial concerns are one of the greatest barriers to young musicians entering postgraduate training. Awards like the South Square Scholarship are of such value as they enable us to offer them the support they need to join our postgraduate programme and access the pathways into the industry that it provides.”
