SILVERSMITHING SCHOLARSHIPS

We help talented graduates students in their final year to purchase materials for their silversmithing work

SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS IN THEIR FINAL YEAR AT SELECTED UK UNIVERSITIES

Each year we award a significant scholarship to up to four final year graduate students specialising in silver.

The Trustees ask the course leaders at universities offering silversmithing courses to send in nominations for the Award for review; only one from each college is selected. The awards started in September 2018.

It was critical for me to practise silversmithing with genuine silver during my MFA. I am grateful to the South Square funds for helping me expand my material adaptability, and this opportunity greatly encouraged my challenging endeavour.
