WHO WE SUPPORT
The institutions we support nominate full-time students each year who, based on talent and their financial circumstances, are considered suitable recipients for a scholarship to assist them with fees and living expenses
DANCE
The study of dance requires dedication and a high level of fitness, and courses can cover everything from ballet to choreography and street dance.
We currently provide scholarships at three dance conservatoires in London
DRAMA
Competition for places at the leading drama schools in the UK is fierce, and course costs can be daunting. We support acting students at several leading UK conservatoires, as well as funding students studying courses in theatre design and stage management
MUSIC
Music students generally have a demanding timetable, covering teaching, practice, rehearsal and performance.
We have been long standing supporters of students at some of the leading music conservatoires in the UK
CONSERVATION
Conservation is a highly specialised area requiring lengthy training, and expertise in some disciplines is at risk of disappearing as courses close and job opportunities in the heritage sector shrink.
Our support is focussed on three areas of conservation – of easel paintings, of textiles and of stone and wood
FINE ARTS
Most of our support in the fine arts has been directed towards two London institutions focusing on postgraduate training, where we have had a connection for a number of years; a further school was added in 2018
ST PAUL'S SCHOOL
We have a particularly close association with St Paul’s School. An endowed bursary contributes to a deserving pupil’s education for their five years at St Paul’s and we provide another generous bursary, as well as creative arts awards to A-level art, music and drama students
SILVERSMITHING
We are keen to ensure that the craft of silversmithing continues. The cost of buying silver to make objects can be a real problem for students, and we help final year postgraduate silversmiths develop their craft skills
