SILVERSMITHING

We want to ensure that the craft of silversmithing continues to thrive. The number of courses in the UK has declined in recent years, the focus being more on jewellery. The cost of buying precious metals can be a real problem so we are providing grants to final year graduate students to acquire these and supporting graduate silversmiths in the development of their craft skills.

We have recently provided capital funding to Bishopsland for the relocation and expansion of their silversmithing activities.
